Another current trend is Cat Flap burglaries, whereby the burglar throws a stone / brick throught the cat flap. They then await a reaction from within the premises, if nothing happens, they then reach through the broken flap with a long hook and open the Yale type lock!

This is not new burglars have been doing this since plastic doors and windows were invented and installed .

It would appear the latest MO for burglars currently used in the Sale/Northern Moor areas but quite likely to catch on no doubt is to use a blowlamp or similar to burn a hole in the plastic double glazing to gain access. where theres a will theres a way?
