I also, have just used '4 Heatons' for replacement glazing for upvc units.  John was reliable and work was to a high standard.  I will be using him again in the future.

I have recently had some double glazed windows that were misted up. Whilst 1 needed the glass replacing the other 2 could be demisted. The guy removes the panes, opens them up to clean, reseals and then replaces. In this case the 1 small and 1 larger pane cost £50 which is not only cheaper than replacing but more eco-friendly.

I used 4 Heatons Windows, details below;

i found another firm to fix the back door they were A1 repair and care from bredbury,  they were first class and fixed the door with no fuss and no uming and arring about what they would have to do,  they did exactly what they said they would, the phone no is 406 0077.  highly recommend.

Do Perennial Windows do replacement glass units for UPVC windows - I've got 5 or 6 windows which have misted over and look a real mess but there's nothing wrong with the UPVC frames.  Thought it would be cheaper to just replace the glass?

Any other recommendations would be gratefully received.

I had mine done by Classic Windows of Mottram (the one near Hyde) and I can't recommend them highly enough. I chose the firm in the first place because of all the 4 companies I asked for quotes Peter of Classic Windows was the only one to ask me what I wanted rather than telling me what I was going to get - showed me a book of photos of work he'd done, too, which none of the others did.

It was a good choice. The work was done quickly and efficiently, without fuss or mess and the cost, although not the lowest quote, was reasonable and compared favourably with the bigger companies.
