I seem to recognise the dodgy looking guy in the striped shirt right in the middle of the picture!   Cheers, Mark, and seriously thank you for all your hard work on this forum.

Well spotted Barbara - it was very nice to have my efforts recognised and to be chosen as "Volunteer of the Year" 2010. You can now also see who were winners, runners up and commended in all the award categories on the Virtual Tour at http://visitmarple.co.uk/photos/thumbnails.php?album=100

High Lane is in Marple South Ward and the new Village Hall is a great venue (and the High Lane Village Hall Volunteer Group were one of the winners).

The main site has been updated with the initial details of last night's "Pride in Marple Awards" 2010 presentation ceremony held at High Lane Village Hall, see http://www.marple-uk.com/Marple.htm

More will be added, including individual photos in an album on the Virtual Tour, once I have full details of all the winners / runners up and what they did to earn their awards.

Although I know who many of them are it seems fairer not to put the names on until I have them all. In the meantime you can see how many faces you recognise from the group photo on the main site
