I share you pain Henrietta !!

And Im glad you got sorted with your electrician.

I too have also found an electrician who I have found to be good .

Malcolm Turner, lives locally in Marple, turns up exactly when he says he will, and hasnt charged the earth  ( quoted me £200 pounds, when another electrician mentioned on this website quoted me £800  :o   )

It was mentioned to me that some electricians are worth paying the extra for , but 600 pounds extra  is a serious micky take, I might be a bit daft, but Im defo not stupid !!

Anyway, if anyone needs Malcolms number its 07802 668904

My login is Henrietta

Having kicked into touch the quote from another firm of electricians mentioned on this forum (£4000 to rewire a 2 bedroom bungalow :o especially when two other firms quoted less than half that price and told me that much of which was quoted for was unnecessary, information later confirmed by SMBC's surveyors and NICEIC) I decided to go with G. Priestnall and Sons of Hazel Grove. A really professional job, clean, tidy, minimum damage to decoration, put everything back where it was supposed to be even without being asked and they even washed their tea cups after I'd brewed up for them. And answered questions politely and sensibly with no sneering at the little woman stuff.

I had to be up early though. They were on the doorstep at 07.30 each morning!

I'd use them again and recommend then highly.
