Thought the benches looked very good today - strangely nobody was sitting on them under umbrellas at lunchtime, but I am sure they will be much used and appreciated.  Thanks Mark and the rest of the gang  :D

Thanks to the loan of Jay's dad's large generator and my son also managing to borrow a Stihl Saw we made short work of removing the concrete bench this morning after struggling yesterday due to my generator being too small.

A BIG thank you to Jay and his dad from Friends of Marple Memorial Park!

Thanks also to the power of t'Internet in resolving our problem in less than an hour and a half.

We (Friends of Memorial Park) have two old concrete seats to remove from Memorial Park that are being replaced with new ones by members of the public. We planned to remove one of them today but had to abandon the task partway through.

The reason for this is that my generator has a 1200w output but my large disc cutter needs 2100w!

Is there anyone out there with a 2500w (or bigger) generator that we could borrow please?
