Formal Opening of Marple Station Improvements [24 August 2012]

Does anyone know who the elderly gentleman is who performed the ceremony?

There will be a formal opening event for the new bridge, lift and toilets at Marple station on Friday 24th August, to celebrate the access for all works package completion and to bring the lift into public operation.
 
The event will be held between 09:30 & 10:30. Representatives from C Spencer Limited (the Contractor) will be on hand to talk people through the project.
