How have cyclists caused a water main to fracture ????.....and btw those lights were not in use when i was trying to get into Marpple yesterday........i feel it is getting ridiculous now because you have no idea how long it is going to take you to get into or out of Marple at ANY time of the day now.

Ermmm as usual I do think there was a degree of humor in Bluezoros comments about cyclists fracturing the water main.

Oh well thanks a lot don't visit the forum very much.......but constructive comments would be welcome normally   ;)

How have cyclists caused a water main to fracture ????.

If there's more than one, they can start a chain reaction.

Bloody cyclists have caused a water main to fracture.

It was 'Wheels' on his 'Heavy Penny Farthing'.

There are roadworks on Dan Bank, with traffic lights, not sure how long it will last or what is going on as there is no info on the council site.

It was gridlocked getting out of Marple about 10.30am. I turned around and went through High Lane. You never know when it is going to be like that. Marple Hall didn't shut till 2.50pm-at least not for my two who attend. Maybe there is roadworks?

They moved to an earlier start (8.35) and earlier finish a few years ago.  There's still the same number of hours in the school day, though.

I assume you mean Marple Hall School - and if so, their school day finishes at 2.50pm so if you have never been stuck in the school traffic before then you have been very lucky.

Add to that the awful weather conditions then it all equals 'gridlock'.
