Well how about considering the recreation ground on Arkwright road. It does not seem to be used much. You could get probably 100 caravans on there and perhaps have room for some permanent accommodation and a toilet block.

That would be a great contribution from Marple folk

Dont think they would still be using peacefield.

The council had to provide a 'list' of suitably sized sites they owned.

Also had sites in adswood and reddish where potential of land for housing would be less than some other areas.

Nothing more, nothing less.

No supermarket theories, scaremongering etc.

Just came across this on the MEN website, it was dated 2011 but does anybody know any more about what happened?
