A load of H3G mobile phone antennae have been erected without planning permission on the BT Exchange on Hollins lane.  I feel that there has been "room left" for additional antennae.

There was an application by Orange early last year which the council refused the operator appealed to the govt and the council WON!!

There was little the council could do because of the size of the antennae( same size as the others but I expect they knew they wouldnt be successful through planning)... a loophole in the planning legislation is being increasingly abused by the mobile phone operators.

The council cant do anything at this time but the residents can challenge through a number of legal routes if they feel strongly enough

Cheers
