The carnival was an absolute hit. The people were out in their thousands and the rain didn't hang around. A very successful day for the Carnival Committee.

They pulled out at the last minute this year after Carnival events went to press.

Actually the very, very best thing about this years Carnival for me was that there were no Billarettes (sp?).

Different strokes for different folks and all that but if I never see them again I won't be disappointed.

I quite agree Rudolph.  Hysterical the first time, especially when genuine majorette groups were also in the procession but after seeing them year after year the joke wore very thin.

Does anyone have suggestions where i can get a float from for the day? I have tried a number of different rental companies for a truck with drop down sides.

Marple Carnival is always on the third Saturday in June, which this year falls on the 15th.
