Lathe & Plaster Ceiling Repair
« Reply #1 on: January 24, 2015, 10:32:57 AM »
Recently had a leaking roof, resulting in part of my kitchen ceiling coming down. The roof's fixed but I now need someone to come and repair the hole (approx 2'6" x 2'6") in the lathe and plaster ceiling. I think I need a plasterer but not sure as it might involve a specialist.

Any recommendations?

I don't expect to get it done on the cheap but I am sick and tired of dealing with workmen who see a woman with white hair and think I'm a soft touch with no brains, for example the tree surgeons' quotes that varied between £250 and £700 to fell a small tree and the electrician's quote that was twice any other quote because he said my job involved extra "essential" work under building regs (it didn't - I checked - did he think I wouldn't?)
