The other day, our 12-year-old son dropped his wallet (containing our house key and some money), without realising, on the 384 bus travelling from Compstall to Marple. Naturally, we were very worried about the key being lost and who might find it. We were delighted, though, to receive a call from Greg, the bus driver on that journey (and a Marple resident), to tell us that he had found the wallet. He very kindly arranged for us to collect it that same day.
It was such a kind gesture and lovely to know that such honesty still exists. It's another reminder of how lucky we are to live in a place that has such a strong community, together with all the values that go alongside that.
We moved to Marple less than two years ago, and haven't looked back since - it's a very friendly and beautiful place, and we appreciate it on a daily basis!
