Community Award competition-Hawk Green women’s cricket team

With regards to the local funds scheme run by the Vernon Building Society, the Women’s team at Hawk Green Cricket Club came 2nd overall and have received £1250.

Congratulations the to them and many thanks to those who voted supporting the team.

Good morning

I have been asked to advertise that the women’s cricket team at Hawk Green have been put on the shortlist to receive much needed funds from the scheme run by the Vernon building society.

It is a team that has been going for just over 12 months and is welcoming new members regardless of age and experience. I am happy to help with this as I feel it is a good example of how as a community we aim for inclusivity.
