CLIMATE ACTION MARPLE - THE CRISIS EVENT

We are all aware of the effects of climate change on our environment and the need to act now to preserve our world for future generations.

Climate Action Marple have been working hard to arrange this event. Everyone welcome. The speakers include Dr Amanda Maycock, Associate Professor in Climate Dynamics from Leeds University, Nick Leslie from Stockport Council Climate Action Group, and Jonathan Atkinson from The Carbon COOP on retrofitting homes. There will be lots of stalls to offer advice on renewable items and services, and local children have been invited to take part in both an art and a journalism competition with the results announced on the day. This is an opportunity to face and plan, together as a community, the challenges that climate change will bring.

Please join them on Sunday 23 April, doors open 12 noon, talks from 1 pm.

Marple Hall School, Hilltop Drive, Marple, SK6 6LB
