The Chadkirk Well-Dressing Festival is TODAY!The Well-Dressing Festival takes place on Saturday 29 July, attended by The Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport, Councillor Graham Greenhalgh and Mrs Carol Greenhalgh – and presided over by Bishop Graham Dow.
They have stalls (geology, books, tombola, plants, cards and paintings, crafts, Sustainable Romiley, the beekeeper and the WI). They have a brilliant Viking recreation, hosted by a local group. There’s also entertainment from Stockport Ukulele Players, Stockport Morris Dancers and Stockport Silver Band.
Please note that, for safety reasons and with permission of the council, they will be closing Vale Road between Burymewick and the bend on Vale Road for an hour – 12:45am–1:45pm.
Refreshments and snacks will be available – from noon – in the chapel, cash only.
