Task Day in Memorial Park [Last Saturday each month]

Enthusiastic volunteers started our bi-monthly spring and summer regime early this year but there's so much to do in the park we need al lthe help we can get!

The next scheduled Task Day is Saturday 28 March 2015 and we'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 2 pm.

We've decided to squeeze an extra Task Day in on Saturday 14 March 2015 and we'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 2 pm.

We've decided to cancel the task day scheduled for tomorrow and go to the pub instead.

Friends of Marple Memorial Park Task Days for 2015 have now been scheduled and the next one is Saturday 31 January.

We'd be delighted if you can come along for however long you can between 10 am and 2 pm and it would be great to see some new faces in the New Year too!

Today's weather was a pleasant surprise. We had a great turnout of volunteers and planted several sacks of bulbs.

With Remembrance approaching our main focus was the flowerbeds around the War Memorial during yesterday's task day.

A good downpour prevented further painting work but local volunteers still put in lots of effort at our task day yesterday.

Some of you may have noticed Friends of the Park with lots of young people from "NCS The Challenge" painting the Infants Play Area fence yesterday.

They did a great job, saving us hours of work AND paying for the paint!
