First photos of 2013 uploaded to the Virtual Tour have been provided by Ray Noble and include several shots of the Hollins Mill Chimney just prior to demolition in October 1957.

A variety of photos from MLHS folders on Compstall, High Lane and Ludworth/Lower Fold have been added to the Tour this morning, including a couple of interesting shots of the Gasometer at Ludworth prior to and during demolition in 1976.

When Marple council decided that Captain was not needed any more they sold him to Oldfield & Braddock's at Chapel House Farm c1952 I walked with him and Len Oldfield from Rose Hill Council yard to Chapel house Farm.

The Virtual Tour has been updated this evening with a selection of photos taken by the late Gordon Mills between 1957 and the early 1960s. These have been passed to Marple Local History Society by Gordon's widow, Barbara. There is also one from Ray Noble of Captain Marvel!

The Virtual Tour has been updated this morning with photos from Marple Local History Society's Archive folder for Hawk Green and also some 1979 Carnival photos from Ray Noble.
