Amazon will be interested to see a couple of Compstall Cricket Club players but dates and names are not recorded:

When Marple council decided that Captain was not needed any more they sold him to Oldfield & Braddock's at Chapel House Farm c1952 I walked with him and Len Oldfield from Rose Hill Council yard to Chapel house Farm.

The Virtual Tour has been updated this evening with a selection of photos taken by the late Gordon Mills between 1957 and the early 1960s. These have been passed to Marple Local History Society by Gordon's widow, Barbara. There is also one from Ray Noble of Captain Marvel!

The Virtual Tour has been updated this morning with photos from Marple Local History Society's Archive folder for Hawk Green and also some 1979 Carnival photos from Ray Noble.

The Virtual Tour has been updated with some 1980 carnival photos from ray Noble plus a couple of his grandson Ryan, who is now a member of the Life Guards band.
