Marple on Google Earth/Google Maps

Hi all,

Have a look at the Recreation Ground on the current image on Google Maps:

I'm not sure when the pictures we take - I'm guessing Summer 2006. What on earth are those markings (zoom in with your mouse wheel or the gauge to the right)? I certainly don't remember them being there.
