I was asked about my ethnic background, my age and how many people lived in my house- Whats all that got to do with the survey.

I haven't seen it either, but the request for info on gender, ethnicity, disability etc etc is normal nowadays.  It's so that some people in a office somewhere can feed your stuff into their computer and produce lots of utterly fascinating data showing how different groups in society are more or less likely to be victims of crime.

Also it shows which groups get off there behinds and fill these things in.

Public safety survey

I had a questionnaire put through my door today, it was a survey concerning crime and public safety. I am sure that many others have had similar.

However the survey does not invite you to give your details IE. name and address etc and I first assumed that it was an anonymous reply being solicited.

However the accompanying letter with the survey, had a reference no. ending in four digits, the same four digits were printed on the survey form.

I was asked to give my postcode which indicates what part of Marple live I in, I was asked about my ethnic background, my age and how many people lived in my house- Whats all that got to do with the survey.

Any thoughts anyone! what do you think Wolfman?
