Actually the incident wasn't at the Bowling Green. A known drug dealer was shot while stopped at the traffic lights where Summerfield now is. His foot hit the accelerator, in his automatic car, and he shot forward, into the side of the Bowling Green. I remember it well. Nobody saw a thing.

Nothing new with guns in Marple, in about 93-94 there was an incident at the bowling green, that even made the national press.

If you are conserned then i suggest that you contact the aurthorities or your local councilor,M.P. I dont think this web site is here to spesifie persivict areas of crime in the Marple area

Then why is there a forum dedicated to the topic of crime in Marple?  ;D

I have a friend who is a local policeman who was on duty that night  He stated that if guns  had  been involved the the armed unit (something like that) would have been sent out and on that night they were not sent out to Marple or any surrounding area.   So i am not sure what this review  is about??

I'm fairly certain the authorities are probably all ready aware of this considering that they have been investigating intelligence reports for the last 6 months appartently.

I'm not seeing the need for great secrecy on the location of this incident.  I'm fairly certain the location will come out at one or all of the next meetings of the Area Commitee, Marple Civic Society or the Marple Business Forum.  And it will probably be in the next edition of the Marple Reveiw and possibly one of the Stockport papers.

Does it matter where .The fact is its happening in Marple and needs to be addresed by the authorities or we could end up with an Innocent person hurt.

Obviously - but I'd quite like to know where it happened as well please.

So Would I .
