At the end of 2005 a planning application was submitted to build a block of 15 apartments on the site of 62-64 Station Road (Glengarth). This was rejected in January 2006.
It ws purchased, by a Marple resident, in April 2008.

As a member of Marple Local History Society I wrote to the owner to seek information about the history of the house, probably built around 1900, but have not had any response.

It is sad to see a buitiful old house destroyed by vandals and it is sad that these people have nothing better to do than destroy things.
