Just for the record Annesley Abercorn was NOT parachuted in - I have no idea where that rumour has come from because it is a complete lie.

I am broadly pleased at the coalition although I think the Conservatives have ceded a disproportionate amount to the Liberal Democrats. Having said that we now have a workable coalition and at least the Liberal Democrats in the Cabinet are the best of a bad bunch  ;)

Voted for Stunnell, an excellent local MP although I may have voted tory for the first time had they put someone up with a little more appeal than some young political careerist who was parachuted in for experience. That said , I for one am happy with the coalition and believe it will last. This is a historic day for British politics and we might now make some progress with policies driven by concensus rather than party political dogma. It could mean the end of "political correctness"

Worried about coalition goiovernment? Look at Germany!

It  shows that the Lib Dems always sit on the fence , and swing either way when it suits them.I predict this Coalition will not last Six months before are new PM ditches the Lib Dems and calls a 2nd Election.

Meant to add that to see Andrew Stunnell on the negotiation team that has brokered a deal with the Tories is not what i voted for and i feel cheated.

I for one have historically voted Lib Dem [especially in national elections] to  " tactically " keep out the Tories in this constituency ,
