It looks like they are also going to do something on the stretch of road from the railway bridge end of Bowden Lane then going in both directions on Dale Road (which is in desperate need of attention).  There are signs up saying work will start on 13th March, is expected to last 4 days, and warns of delays.  'Rat Runners' take note!!

Hello Admin,

Apologies for my part -post which should read in addition to what I have already said....This work will be carried out by our streetscene alliance partner Tarmac National Contracting.

It is anticipated that the project will commence on Monday, 12th March 2012 and will take up to 7 working days.

Unfortunately, it will be necessary to close the road for part of this operation. This closure will be effected between 8am and 5pm. Property occupiers whom are directly effected should have received by now a letter of information. The Council apologises for any inconvenience. I shall be attending site on Monday 12th from 11am to Midday, if anybody has any queries about this project then please feel most welcome to come and see me.

Once again admin thank you for your patience in the face of my technical inability.

It might be useful to residents to know when though. Have dates for this work been scheduled yet?

Hello, I am not really conversant with the classifications on your website, which incidentally I think is a tremendous community asset. I would therefore be grateful if you could arrange to have this posting placed in the right topic.

PROPOSED CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING : MOUNT DRIVE MARPLE.

Stockport Council is currently undertaking a programme of re-surfacing across the borough and as part of this programme we will be re-surfacing the carriageway on Mount Drive, from Ecclesbridge Rd to Church Lane. This work will be carried out by our streetscene partner: Tarmac N

How pleasant it is to read councillor Dowlings contribution to the forum. I entertain no doubt that the residents of Mount Drive will be delighted about the news.
