Band Stand Memorial Park

Marple Band had concerts in the park many times after WW2 but never on a band stand they played on grass and the chairs they borrowed from the Liberal Club . I remember John Close who played Tuba sitting their and one back chair leg slowly sinking into the ground he finished playing stood up. Ray

Is there going to be a Band Stand in the Memorial Park or am I confusing it with somewhere else

Is my memory failing me, or was there one once, when I was but a wee lass? Maybe I'm confusing Marple with Trumpton?
