That's disgraceful !

Even though it is probably BT property is it not worth contacting one of the local Councillors and asking the question ?

This is BT's solution to the red telephone box that needed a coat of paint in the All Saints', Marple Conservation Area.



This is what it says in the Council's "All Saints' Management Plan"

Historic street furniture does survive in the form of a K6 telephone kiosk and an EIIR Pillar box in the vicinity of the Ring O’Bells Public House, and a wall EIIR letter box situated in the boundary wall to the glebe land at All Saints Church. The Council will seek to ensure the retention of these surviving historic streetscape features which make an important contribution to the character of the conservation area.

And in the Appraisal Document:

There is an important group of historic street furniture outside the Ring O’Bells pub, comprising a K6 telephone kiosk and an EIIR pillar box. Both are in use and reasonably well-kept. A wall EIIR letter box is situated in the boundary wall to the glebeland at All Saints’ Church.
