You need one like mine, affectionately known as 'the brick' by younger people I used to work with.  I can phone people and text, basically that is it, but it suits me.  I could leave it in Piccadilly Gardens on a Saturday night and it would still be there in the morning!

I'm sorry to hear about this incident, and glad it has been resolved.  On a slightly different aspect of mobile phones, I am looking forward to the day when their use is 'blocked' on buses and trains! Yeah - I am an old fuddy-duddy, and I admit I wouldn't be without my mobile, but they can be very annoying!

Phone taken in Marple Memorial Park

A phone was taken from a young person in Marple Memorial Park earlier this week.

Thankfully nobody was hurt, the phone was recovered and the culprits were apprehended.

It is worth a reminder to your teenagers that modern mobile phones can be very expensive items and it not a good idea to allow someone you don't know very well to "borrow them" in the park.
