Afternoon all
Firstly, thanks to all of those who collected Vernon Jubilee Fund tokens on behalf of Cromwell Avenue Park in the Stockport Express over the last couple of months.
We received 104 votes / tokens out of the 2,796 registered in total. This meant each being worth £3.71 and £385.76 raised. We hope to put some raised beds in the park so the funds will no doubt go towards this amongst other future park events.
The Park is still very much a hidden gem and once we get the new play equipment installed next year, I hope more of the local community will come down and use the facilities.
And finally, a big big thank you to all those that attended the (Back to School) Picnic in the Park last month. To have around 80-90 people join us for the day was fantastic!
