A bit closer to home, Roger Fisher has been very good with my wife recently regarding an eye problem:

Can anyone recommend a local optician?  I need to one who listens to what I have to say and pays attention to the client's particular optical needs     :o    rather than just churning out yet another pair of specs!   Thanks.
