Quadruple Donations for Marple Skatepark! [13 October 2015]

We now have 10 people signed up to pay £10 per month over the next 3 months via Grow Your Tenner for the Skatepark.

With Gift-Aid on most of them this will be worth approximately £21.67 x 10 people x 3 months = £650.

Because it is for the Skatepark the money will also be matched by the council making it worth £1,300 to the project.

In addition, 15 people have made one-off donations of £10 that have been matched by Grow Your Tenner, so that's 15 x 21.67 = £325, which is another £650 for the project.

So £450 of donations has been turned into £1,950 worth of funding for the Skatepark Project.

Apologies for all the calculation but I wanted to show what a fantastic opportunity this is!

AND there is still time for more people to help us as the Grow Your Tenner match-pot is still not fully allocated, although with nearly £205,000 out of £250,000 claimed it won't last much longer.

Thank you for the feedback @nbt , and the donation of course. When I did mine it only took a minute or so but I know others have had trouble too. I imagine it depends how busy the site is and there are people all over the country supporting their own local causes, so please persevere if you are have difficulties.

We now have 8 people who have signed up for the 3 month direct debit and 3 more one-off £10 donations. This is brilliant, thank you all, but please spread the word as it is a fantastic opportunity to grow our funds for the skatepark.

Currently £103,000 has been matched from the pot of £250,000 available, so there is still time to encourage others to take part too.

I've been trying to set up a monthly donation since yesterday morning, but the website is not overly responsive. I'm gettnig somewhere now though so fingers crossed it works this time!

EDIT: worked fine, just takes (quite a long!) time for the page to load completely so that the checkboxes for instance will respond to input. Not something you can affect but maybe something other people might experience

Sounds too good to be true? Here's how it will work:

Local Giving's "Grow Your Tenner 2015" launches on 13th October

From Tuesday the 13th October at 10am, Local Giving will be matching one-time donations pound-for-pound up to £10, and monthly donations up to £10 per month for 3 months. As active members of Localgiving Friends of the Park are eligible to receive up to a maximum of £10,000 of match funding in the campaign that will run across the whole of the UK.

With Gift Aid, a one-time donation of £10 made through Localgiving.com during Grow Your Tenner will generate £21.67. With our £ for £ match-funding agreement with Stockport Council, who are matching all money raised for the Skatepark Project up to £50,000, that £21.67 will be worth an amazing £43.34 to the Project!

£30 in 3 payments of £10 over 3 months will become more than £130!!
