The Cancer Research shops are definitely still taking records and videos - they actually had leaflets specifically asking for them in January when I took a load of mine in. I don't know if there is one in Marple, but there is one in Stockport on Princes Street.

Can I suggest that you auction them on eBay and then donate the money to charity? It's probably easier than givening them to a non-specialist organisation who won't know what to do with them.

Does anyone know of a charity or a charitable organisation which could make use of some LP's?  I have about 50 which used to belong to my father.  They are varied - things like Matt Monroe, Victor Sylvester, Latin American etc.  Charity shops no longer seem to want them - and it seems a shame to throw them away.
