Its not a full size super market certain things they do not stock Like stockport Redish Hyde .the one on the ridge would have been a full size supermarket .
I've never been in Adsa, but I certainly found the Co-op stocked pretty much everything I could possibly want and a lot more. Personally, I aways considered the Co-op and now Asda as very much a large supermarket. However, I suppose different people have different requirements. One of the reasons I considered Marple such a good place to move to is that it has more than enough shops to meet almost all requirement and means there is little need to ever go anywhere else, except for occasional items (which a supermarket wouldn't stock anyway).

We used to have a much better one called the Co-op. I still miss it a lot.

We could have had a proper ASDA .instead of houses look at all the extra cars per day.every day .i know someone will say Asda will as well .

We do indeed Mikes, I think what is being inferred is that it is no thanks to MCS, that we do.

I don’t feel that I have anything in common with the “Civic Society” as I wish to be able to shop in a full sized supermarket without having to leave Marple.

Should this not be done by the elected councils members, rather than a group of self appointed people?

This thread has been broken out from "A Neighbourhood Plan for Marple" as it is has wandered away from the orginal topic. - Admin
