Family Treasure Hunt in Marple Memorial Park [Saturday 29 April 2017]

I'm pleased to report that the Treasure Hunt raised an amazing total of £1,450 (subject to the last few sponsorship payments being received).

This was made up of £146 donations on on the day, £289 raffle takings and £1,015 of sponsorship paid / pledged.

Thank you once again to all the local businesses for their support and for local people for coming along!

Thanks to all for organising and helping out at The Family Treasure Hunt. Our young grandchild thoroughly enjoyed hunting for the clues.
During the search it also gave us the chance to have a proper look round at all the lovely flower beds  - so another thank you to all the volunteers who give their time to maintain the gardens.
We hope you raised lots of money which, we understand, will go towards continuing your good work in The Memorial Park.

Thank you for your comments @Lily! The Treasure Hunt was even busier than last year and it's certain that the total raised will be a new record too. One sponsor pulled out and a small number are still to pay but as soon as everything is counted and confirmed we'll update with full details of the funding raised for the park.

A big thank you to Estate Agent Julian Wadden and all the generous local businesses that have been so supportive, and a very special thank you to Di Jackson, our volunteer who did such a brilliant job of marketing the event to local businesses and coordinating the sponsorship and raffle prizes.
