Does anyone remember being a member of either of these groups? (We're talking about the dim and distant past here.)
I was a member of Marple group in 1966 (I was only 17 but who's counting). Marple 18 Plus folded round about 1967 and some of us decamped to Romiley group.
After I did my teacher training I went to work and live in Belper, (Derbyshire) and became one of the founding members of Belper 18 Plus. We had our first reunion meet-up last year followed by another this year - weird to find we all recognised each other after 40+ years
Anyway, to get to the point - I've just discovered a Facebook 18 Plus site. Marple & Romiley groups are mentioned on it. I thought some ex-members might be interested.
