I must agree with MCMarky about the groups of youngsters hanging around during the evening. Â I have also noticed how they tend to gravitate towards the off licences, and how one of our off licences appears to sell anything to anyone, with no regard to age.
The younger people tell me these are the 'scallies' (spelling?) of Marple. Â It has also been pointed out to me that there is a hierarchy. Â The ones low down the pecking order tend to loiter near the Texaco garage, next group near Harlequin, then the Hollins and finally, the scalliest group, in Memorial Park. Â It would be quite amusing if it were not so pathetic.
Oh by the way, MCMarky, don't lie down, they will walk all over you.
