I've completed it and it's the usual police type survey which is very definitely aimed at getting the response they want.  They will have to do much better if people are to have any confidence in the police either  individual officers or the institution.

Thanks for highlighting this Admin. It is a positive approach under the new Chief Constable for GMP and our own new Stockport Borough senior officer. It would be great if people gave their views. We’ve been pressing for changes and improvements for a while and we meet police now more regularly. We were also observers on Operation Avro. The police on the ground are keen to tackle the Chief Constable’s priorities (which have been presented to Stockport Council and the speech is still available on the council website) but it’s important, I think that these priorities are in line with residents concerns and experiences.

Yes we will be at the meeting on 24th.

Community Meeting and Online Consultation

GMP has launched a Neighbourhood Policing Consultation in the latest step to fulfil public promises made by the new Chief Constable.

"Once in a generation opportunity" to influence policing in our area!

They have released what they are saying is a "once in a generation opportunity to significantly influence the approach to neighbourhood policing in our area" anonymous online consultation.

Here is the link to the consultation: https://crowd.in/LcipT0

Please state you are from Marple (or your local area) after selecting "Stockport" - you can add this in the extra info box. Also make sure you add any concerns etc in the additional information in the free text boxes wherever possible and mention Marple (or your local area) - things like ASB in the park and town centre, numbers of police or your own specific concerns and personal experiences.

Edgeley Park Conference 24th March 2022

They are also holding an event at the Conference Room, at Edgeley Park, Stockport County FC from 7pm-9pm on 24th March where the people of Stockport can speak directly to one of their Chief Officers. It would be great if our local councillors @Steve Gribbon @Malcolm Allan @BeckySenior @Aron Thornley @ColinMac and Shan Alexander could attend to represent the Marple Community.
