David's funeral will be at St. Asaph Crematorium, Denbighshire, at 3pm on Tuesday 13th September 2022.

RIP David Brindley 15 November 1936 - 22 August 2022

Sad to learn and share the news that the wonderful David Brindley passed away suddenly on Monday morning at the age of nearly 86. David was a great supporter of The Marple Website in its formative years and became a good friend. It's nice to imagine him being reunited with beloved wife Margaret and his great friend Jack Turnbull.

Marple folk old enough to remember the 1980s and 90s will recall the wonderful double-act of Dave and Jack, who conducted a very serious study of Marple's pubs and survived a voyage to Froghall up the Caldon: https://www.marple.website/froghall-up-the-caldon/all-this-and-froghall-too.html
