Community Energy Fortnight: Stockport Hydro Open Afternoon: Sunday 11th June 1pm - 4pmVisit your local Hydroelectric Power scheme, producing renewable energy on the River Goyt for over 10 years.Greater Manchester’s first community owned hydro electric project is run entirely by volunteers*. Producing power that is fed directly into the National Grid, the Hydro creates an income to maintain the scheme, pay a return to investors and contribute to our ever popular Environmental Challenge fund. Our knowledgeable volunteers will give tours of the site and discuss the complexities and quirks involved in such a venture. We look forward to welcoming you.

There are no parking or facilities available on the site.
Parking available at Dobbies Garden Centre, across Dooley Lane or Vale Road Car Park, 5 minutes walk away and the safest place to cross the road.
