D-Day Landings 80th Anniversary Information on The HollinsThe
6th of June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces mounted the largest amphibious invasion the world has ever witnessed.
To commemorate this the
Marple Poppy Appeal Team will set be setting up an information tent on the Hollins on
Saturday 1st June from 10 till 3ish.
You will be amazed at the information on show, and there will be some special D Day enamel pin badges available too, but they are in short supply so don't leave it too late or you might be disappointed.
