Sunday 24th November 2024 12 - 4pmVisit your local Hydroelectric Power scheme, producing renewable energy on the River Goyt.Your local volunteer-run Hydro Power scheme has been producing renewable energy on the River Goyt since 2012. Feeding power directly into the National Grid, it creates an income to maintain the scheme, pay a return to investors and contribute to our Environmental Challenge fund* Our volunteers will reveal the quirks and complexities involved in such a fascinating venture.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please get in touch. **Chadkirk Chapel is open too!Nearby our friends at the historic Grade II listed Chadkirk Chapel and Country Park are also open for the afternoon. Refreshments will be available, cash only.
